Good Sam Enterprises is looking to fill an Events and Rally Specialist position to support the operations related to Good Sam’s event business and the relaunch of a Rally event strategy. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the events and rally business, including the coordination of event schedules, vendors, on-site support, marketing details, and internal team support. The Specialist position will have direct ability to influence how events and rallies are operated, with leadership and executive visibility. The position will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the business unit.

The Events and Rally Specialist will have primary responsibility to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly, including managing internal and external support teams and vendors. The position will require cross-functional collaboration working alongside, but not limited to: the campground solutions team, loyalty organization, marketing organization, digital product, and other leadership positions to ensure seamless execution of duties. The Specialist role will report directly to the Director of Campground Operations and Events.

Responsibilities

Influence and assess the Events and Rally business unit strategy

  • Work alongside the Director of Campground Operations and Events to deliver an iterative strategy to continue to grow the business unit in a profitable manner

  • Suggest operational or strategic opportunities to expand the business unit, with a quarterly presentation to leadership on the proposals

Manage the Events and Rally administrative duties to ensure smooth operations

  • Work alongside other events and rally business leaders to schedule and manage meetings, execution of tasks, and accountability

  • Manage agendas, action items, and deliverables for the events and rally business

  • Manage day-to-day oversight of the execution related to events and rallies

  • Ensure all vendor contracts and vendor process is documented, outlined, and contracts are signed in a timely manner

  • Assist in vendor assessments to ensure costs are kept in-line and vendor selection is performed on an annual basis related to performance results and cost proposals

  • Ensure documentation of all activities, vendors, contracts, etc. are in place for the continued operation and oversight of all events and rallies

  • Assist in the development of rally execution plans, in coordination with the Director of Campground Operations and Events, to deliver consistent execution and experience as the business launches the rally strategy

Manage the Ice Fishing Show operational duties

  • Conduct an audit of current vendor and client contract storage and process outlines and develop a procedures manual for go-forward execution of the Ice Fishing Show

  • Develop a vendor manual and execution lists that can be utilized on an ongoing basis to understand standards of vendor contracts, costs, execution timing, etc.

  • Develop a client manual that can be utilized on an ongoing basis to manage the history of clients at the show and can be used to reference for future contract negotiations and management

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Ice Fishing Show, including vendor and client contract management, consultant coordination, and other administrative duties as requested

  • Travel on-site for the Ice Fishing Show and manage on-site teams alongside the Director and other consultants

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

  • 3+ years of business, marketing, or other relative experience

  • Experience in on-site events and/or rallies preferred

Knowledge & Skills

General Compensation Disclosure

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Iit is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated. A reasonable estimate of the current range is listed below.

Pay Range:

$23.63-$28.07 Hourly
